MicxSic and Savage Fam Pro leaves crowd with an unforgettable show at this weeks Apache Café Open Mic Night. A number of artist such as such as Mia Laquan, Kota Santez, Sierra Turner, as well as France West graced the legendary stage this past Thursday night.
Each week in front of a wall to wall packed crowd MicxSic and Savage Fam Prop gives local artist the opportunity to showcase their talent on the same stage where Keri J,Kinfoke, Prince William and N.I.K.K.I da Jukebox were discovered. Unlike other open mics in Atlanta Apache Café provides its artist the opportunity to be supported in sound by a professional live band and background singers. Apache’s Open Mic curator MicxSic says, “Having a live band and background singers behind each artist gives the artist the chance to elevate their on stage performance ……some artist cant afford to have a band or singers to travel with them so this is something we put together to give back to the artist and the culture of real music.”
Along side the serenades of the artist event goers were provided with live painting entertainment. Jazmine Harris says, “this is my first time attending the event and I think it was well worth the $6 and helped give me a much needed break from work…the atmosphere was very easy going and welcoming I definitely plan to come back to future showcases.”
